Tyler Wortman

Tyler Wortman, PhD, is a Senior Manager of Pharmacy Engineering Services at Amazon, having transitioned to the role following the acquisition of PillPack. They completed their PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on a low-cost tissue characterization method for skin cancer detection. Prior to their doctoral work, Tyler earned a Master’s degree at the University of Nebraska, where they led the design of surgical robotics and contributed to patented research advancements. With experience in product development and a passion for improving healthcare solutions, they have also held internships at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab and Honeybee Robotics, among others.
