Ulas Kirazci is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Amazon since July 2024, Ulas leads engineering initiatives in a research lab focused on Autonomous AI. Prior to Amazon, Ulas worked at Adept as a Member of Technical Staff, specializing in pretraining large-scale multimodal LLMs. Ulas spent 14 years at Google, culminating as a Principal Software Engineer, where responsibilities included leading a 100-engineer team for client platforms and developing Play Store search. As a Sr Director of Engineering at Cuil, Ulas managed runtime and platform efforts, co-designing a real-time search system. Ulas co-founded LeapTag, serving as Chief Software Architect and shaping a personalized web discovery tool. Ulas holds a BA in Computer Science from Harvard University.
