Vipin Pillai

Vipin Pillai is an Applied Scientist II at Amazon, currently working on the Just Walk Out technology. They completed a Ph.D. in Computer Vision at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where their research focused on learning explainable models using self-supervised learning under the guidance of Dr. Hamed Pirsiavash. Vipin also holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, during which they researched adversarial attacks on network interpretation. Their professional experience includes roles at Amdocs and Verisk Analytics, where they contributed to significant projects in machine learning and computer vision.
