Xin Liu is an accomplished academic and research professional with significant experience in applied probability, stochastic systems, and time series analysis. Liu served as a Graduate Fellow at the Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute (SAMSI) in 2009, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) from 2011 to 2013. Subsequently, Liu held the position of Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor at Clemson University from 2013 to 2020, supervising graduate students and leading advanced research initiatives. Most recently, Liu worked as a Senior Research Scientist and Science Manager at Amazon, where responsibilities included leading a cross-functional team to develop labor planning models and conducting research on policy impacts. Liu holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
