Young Uk Yim

Young Uk Yim has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as a Silicon Engineer at Amazon since September 2025. Prior to this role, Yim was a Senior Principal Engineer at Tenstorrent, where responsibilities included integrating and validating high-speed I/O intellectual property in AI chips. Yim's earlier experience spans a decade at Qualcomm as a Senior Staff Engineer, leading DDR PHY design efforts, and at Intel Corporation as a Staff Engineer, focusing on analog mixed-signal IC design for CPUs. Notable early career achievements include work at Arm on multi-standard SerDes PHY IP and contributions to an autonomous vehicle project at Samsung Electronics. Yim holds a PhD, MS, and BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Pohang University of Science and Technology, and Korea University, respectively.
