Yu Yang

Yu Yang is a Software Engineer at Amazon and a Master’s student in Software Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where they specialize in scalable systems at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and machine learning. Yu has served as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University LIONS Lab, focusing on federated learning and developing a PyTorch-based library for distributed training. They previously contributed to the J2 Lab at Cornell University, working on machine learning applications in molecular dynamics. Yu also gained early experience in robotics and automatic control through a summer project at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
