Yuwei Qin

Yuwei Qin is a Sr. Sustainability Scientist at Amazon, where they lead the development of carbon footprint models and data quality systems to support sustainability decisions. Their expertise includes electronic devices, energy–water systems, low-carbon materials, and model transparency, with a current focus on leveraging AI for enhanced carbon accounting. Previously, Yuwei held roles at esteemed institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley as a Postdoctoral Researcher and was involved in habitat restoration and environmental assessment across various organizations. Yuwei earned a PhD and a Master's degree in Environmental Science & Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara, along with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy & Management from The Ohio State University.
