Zain Gulamali has extensive experience in corporate and business development, primarily at Amazon since 2016. As the Worldwide Corporate and Business Development lead, equivalent to Vice President in other Fortune 500 companies, Zain has managed strategic investments, M&A, and partnerships for various Amazon groups, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Devices & Services. In 2022, Zain founded and currently leads Amazon Catalytic Capital, an investment fund aimed at supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs. Zain also serves as an Investment Partner for the Amazon Alexa Fund, overseeing numerous venture capital investments in areas like artificial intelligence and robotics. Previous roles include director positions at Pocket Gems and investment associate at Warburg Pincus, along with significant early career experience at Goldman Sachs and as a consultant at Monitor Group. Zain holds multiple degrees, including an MS in Management from Stanford University and dual B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Media Studies, as well as Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
