Rusty Kelley

Rusty Kelley is a seasoned professional in the investment and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as Managing Director at RD Fund since July 2018, with previous roles including Senior Vice President and Vice President of Investments and Alliances. Kelley holds board positions at multiple organizations, including Amber Bio, SparingVision, NACUITY PHARMACEUTICALS, INC., and Atsena Therapeutics, while also co-founding and directing Opus Genetics. Prior experience includes significant roles at the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and Tengion, where Kelley led efforts in interdisciplinary initiatives and preclinical medicine, respectively. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Duke University, a PhD in Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics from Louisiana State University, and a BA in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
