Peter Ng has extensive work experience in various leadership roles, primarily as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Peter is currently working at Mount Row Partners as the COO, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, they were the COO APAC at Amber Group starting in April 2022.
Before that, Peter worked at Freepoint Commodities as the Chief Operating Officer Asia from January 2017 to April 2022. At Freepoint, they established the Freepoint Asia Team in Singapore and China, overseeing trading in oil, base metals, iron ore derivatives, and physical trading, as well as leading the carbon trading team and renewable projects.
From May 2015 to December 2016, Peter served as the COO Asia for Energy/Metals at Noble Group, where they facilitated the expansion of the energy trading team and established a base metals front/back off trading team in Shanghai.
Peter's earlier experience includes their role as the Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, where they served as the COO for Asia Commodities from an unknown start date to May 2014. During their time at Morgan Stanley, they played a significant role in expanding the commodities group, integrating internal Private Wealth clients into commodities trading, and establishing various trading desks.
Peter also held multiple Vice President positions at Morgan Stanley, including working with the COO/Management team for the Fixed Income COO team, managing technology coverage for Fixed Income/Private Wealth, and overseeing technology teams in Singapore and across South East Asia.
Overall, Peter Ng has extensive experience in operational leadership and has contributed to the growth and expansion of various organizations within the commodities and finance sectors.
Peter Ng completed their Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Computer Science from the University of Central England - United Kingdom from 1995 to 1996. Peter later pursued an MBA in Business from the University of Hull, from 2000 to 2002.
