Erdem Aktaş has a diverse work experience. Erdem started their career as an Intern at BITS Computer Ltd. in 2010. Erdem then worked as a Java Developer at Fitcons Group B.V. in 2011 and as a Staj(Intern) at Omerd Business Solutions in the same year. In 2012, they worked as a Project Engineer at Yapı Kredi, where they developed a Systems wide bytecode level dependency analysis application using Java, and was responsible for architectural design, development and integration of core business services for the new SOA based banking platform. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at DHB Bank, where they implemented a reporting tool that reduced development time by 40% and increased maintainability and customizability. Erdem also lead the conversion from a monolithic app to microservices architecture using Spring Boot. Currently, they are working as a Senior Software Engineer at Amberscript, where they designed and shared microservice projects from monolith to achieve scalable, loose-coupled architecture with high availability and introduced async communication with queue prioritization. Erdem also initiated to build Observable Distributed Systems to increase the prevention of potential failures and led and launched a new export service to reduce complexity and increase file quality.

Erdem Aktaş began their educational journey in 2003 when they attended Zonguldak Fen Lisesi. Erdem then went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Istanbul University in 2012. Erdem also obtained certifications from Microsoft and ACM-ODTU in 2011 and 2010 respectively. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Engineering at Istanbul Technical University.
