Thiago Maeda

Thiago Maeda has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering. Thiago started their career as an Agente Administrativo at Prefeitura Municipal de Caraguatatuba in 2013 and worked there until 2019. In 2019, they joined 2RP Net as an Engenheiro de Dados and worked there for a year before moving on to Ambev in 2020.

At Ambev, Thiago initially worked as an Engenheiro de Dados, where they played a pivotal role in building the Supply datalake and selecting the appropriate tools for the company's operations. Thiago also collaborated with business areas to strategize and implement efficient data integration methods. One of their notable achievements in this role was the development of a self-service BI system that saved time, reduced errors, and provided data access to employees throughout the South America Zone.

Later, Thiago took on the role of Arquiteto de Dados at Ambev, where their responsibilities expanded further. Thiago took charge of optimizing critical data pipelines, mentoring team members, designing and implementing data architectures to meet specific business needs, and supporting digital products teams with analytics integration. Additionally, they focused on reducing total cost of ownership and delegating responsibilities.

Thiago Maeda completed a postgraduate degree, an MBA in Data Engineering, from IGTI in the year 2022. Thiago also obtained a bachelor's degree in Analysis and Systems Development, specializing in Software Engineering, from the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo (IFSP) between 2015 and 2018.
