Matthew Matl is the co-founder and VP of Software at Ambi Robotics. Matthew previously worked as a PhD student and robotics researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, studying machine learning techniques for robotic manipulation and computer vision. Matthew also interned as a software engineer at AppNexus and worked as a software engineer at Brewster Inc.

Matthew Matl graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in electrical engineering. Matthew then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in electrical engineering and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. However, they left before completing their Ph.D. to start their own company, Ambi.

Their manager is Jim Liefer, CEO. They work with Jeff Mahler - Co-founder & CTO, Stephen McKinley - Co-founder & VP of Operations.
