Ambika Law, PC is a trauma-informed law firm dedicated to protecting the education and civil rights of vulnerable children. We advocate for families navigating special education disputes, school discipline, institutional abuse, and systemic failures in educational and youth settings.

Founded by attorney and survivor-advocate Amanda Simmons, Ambika Law was built on a deep understanding of how intimidating and isolating these systems can be for families. Our work is grounded in the belief that no child should ever face the legal or education system alone—and no family should have to fight without clear information, responsive support, and strong advocacy.

We represent children and families across California in matters involving IEPs, 504 Plans, Child Find and assessments, due process hearings, suspensions and expulsions, and transition planning. We also hold schools, residential treatment centers, and other institutions accountable for abuse, neglect, discrimination, and civil rights violations, including restraint and seclusion, bullying, unlawful searches, and sexual misconduct.

We center safety, dignity, and clarity in every interaction, recognizing that families often come to us during moments of crisis.
