David Munsinger

David Munsinger is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. David currently holds the position of Vice President, Software & Solutions at Ambiq, a role they have held since June 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director, Software & Solutions at Ambiq from October 2019 to June 2020, where they assumed responsibility for Applications Engineering and Solutions Engineering, as well as overseeing Ambiq's Software Development team. From November 2016 to October 2019, they were the Director of Software Engineering at Ambiq, where they managed the software development team and established best practices for software development.

Before their time at Ambiq, David worked as the Senior Manager of Software and Algorithms Group at NXP Semiconductors from February 2015 to November 2016, where they managed a team of systems and software engineers focused on IoT and sensor data analytics. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Member of Technical Staff at Freescale Semiconductor from June 2013 to February 2015, where they were a key member of a team that designed an Intelligent Sensing Framework embedded middleware.

David also has experience as a Principal Consultant at DBM Technology Strategies LLC from September 2011 to March 2013, where they focused on intellectual property development and wireless technology expertise. David served as the Founder/Embedded Software Lead at MobilePeak Systems, Inc. from July 2005 to October 2011, where they founded a semiconductor start-up focused on WCDMA/HSPA data terminal products.

Earlier in their career, David worked at Qualcomm from January 2001 to June 2003, initially as the VP of Business Development at Qualcomm's corporate venture capital and reference design group, and later as the VP, Eng. & Sr. VP R&D at Qualcomm's Boulder office. David also served as the Sr. VP, R&D at Ericsson, Inc. from June 1999 to June 2000, where they oversaw Ericsson's Radio Base Station development organization.

David Munsinger has a strong educational background in the field of technology and business. David obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego from 1978 to 1983. Following this, they pursued a Certificate in Communications and Signal Processing from UC San Diego during the academic year 1987-1988. David later expanded their knowledge by pursuing a Master's degree in Management of Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2002, further specializing in the field of business.
