Eric Mao

Eric Mao has over 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Eric currently works as a Principal Design Engineer at Ambiq since August 2022. Prior to that, Eric was a SoC Design Lead at Alibaba Group from November 2019 to August 2022, where they led the design of a 5nm 128-core dual die SoC. Before joining Alibaba, Eric worked at Intel Corporation as a Sr. Staff Design Engineer from April 2016 to November 2019. Eric started their career at Marvell as a Staff Design Engineer in May 2006 and worked there for 10 years until April 2016.

Eric Mao obtained a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their first Master's degree in Microelectronics at Southeast University from 2000 to 2003.
