Igor Komir

Igor Komir has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In their most recent position as a Sr. Principal Engineer at Ambiq, they specialize in architecture and has been with the company since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Systems Architect at Ambiq for two years.

Before joining Ambiq, Igor was the President of AKI TECH Group, LLC, where they provided contract design services for silicon IP, FPGA design, and electronic circuit design. Igor started this venture in August 2019.

From 2015 to 2019, Igor held various roles at DAQRI, including VP Engineering (Advanced Systems) and VP, EE * Technical Fellow. Igor was responsible for defining system and hardware architecture for Daqri Smart Glasses and Smart Helmet, and also established and oversaw the deployment of an efficient EE design process.

Prior to that, Igor worked at Analog Devices, Inc. as a SoC and Software Architect and Embedded Software Architect. In these roles, they defined architectures and oversaw the design of a JPEG-2000 compression SoC. Igor also actively participated in standard organizations and developed standards for still image coding in media transport streams.

Igor's earlier experience includes working as a Software and SoC Architect at RealChip Communications Inc, where they defined SoC architecture and created a model for architectural evaluation. Igor also worked as an Embedded Software Architect at RealChip Communications, Inc., where they delivered production-level ROM firmware for Texas Instruments USB SoCs and designed a firmware framework with various features.

Throughout their career, Igor has demonstrated expertise in architecture, design, and implementation of complex systems and technologies.

Igor Komir obtained their Master's Degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Igor pursued their education at the university from 1981 to 1986.
