Meike Schmidt

Meike Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Meike started as a Student Trainee at Singapore General Hospital in 2012 and later worked as a Student Research Assistant at Philips Healthcare SL. In 2013, they completed internships at Insel Gruppe, specializing in cardiology, and Schweizer Paraplegiker-Zentrum.

Meike then joined AMBOSS and held several positions, including Medical Editor, Lead Educational Division DACH, and Managing Editor/Editor-in-Chief. Meike also served as the Head of Customer & Insights (interim), where they played a vital role in scaling the Customer Support and Research departments. Their contributions included hiring and onboarding key leadership roles and establishing the tone of voice and unique features for AMBOSS. In their most recent role, Meike held the position of Director of Operations, responsible for implementing the first org chart, leading change management, collaborating with CEOs, and creating the company's strategy, mission statement, values, and goals. Meike also introduced different levels of leadership groups for effective decision-making and communication. Currently, Meike holds the position of Vice President Operations at AMBOSS.

Meike Schmidt completed their Doctoral Thesis in Cardiovascular Imaging at the University of Düsseldorf. Prior to that, they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine from the same institution.
