Aike Baars

Aike Baars has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2010, they started as an IT Support and Database Administrator at Dacore A/S, where they gained experience in IT support and database maintenance. Aike then worked as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Ambu A/S and First Technology EDS, where they designed, developed, and delivered Business Intelligence solutions. Baars also served as a General Manager at Valvetech (PTY) LTD, where they managed daily operations and utilized data insights to drive business development. Additionally, they founded TygerProps (Pty) Ltd as a property investment vehicle and successfully managed it through digital platforms. Baars has also worked as a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant at Dariel, providing consulting services to clients in various industries. Furthermore, they have experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at IT University of Copenhagen, assisting with Big Data Management courses. Prior to that, they worked as a Student Counsellor and Assistant Teacher at Syddansk Universitet. Baars started their career as a Bartender at The UpperHill while pursuing their studies. Currently, they are the Head of Strategic Data Systems at Ambu A/S, where they manage a team of developers and oversees enterprise data systems.

Aike Baars has a diverse education history. Aike obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering from IT-Universitetet i København from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they pursued elective courses towards a Master's Degree in Business at Copenhagen Business School in 2013. Prior to that, Aike completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics and IT at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark from 2008 to 2012. Aike also took elective courses in Business at Copenhagen Business School in 2010. Furthermore, Aike holds a Senior Certificate from St John's College, where they studied English, Afrikaans, Maths, Geography, Biology, and Science from 2003 to 2007. Aike has also obtained a certification as a Member of The Institute of Directors in 2022 and a certification named "70-461 Querying Microsoft SQL Server" from Microsoft in 2015.
