Mikkel Tønners

Mikkel Tønners has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mikkel started their career as a professional handball player with Team Helsinge from 2003 to 2006 and then with AJAX København from 2007 to 2012. In 2003, they also worked as a Purchasing Trainee at SVI Public Company Limited before becoming a Purchaser from 2005 to 2007.

In 2007, Mikkel joined Kontron Technology A/S as a Purchase Coordinator, responsible for procurement from strategic suppliers and maintaining the ERP system. Mikkel then moved to GN Otometrics in 2008, where they served as a Senior Buyer, Procurement Manager, and later as a Category Manager. In these roles, they were involved in NPI projects, cost reduction projects, supplier consolidation, contract negotiations, and close cooperation with internal stakeholders.

From 2019 to the present, Mikkel worked at Ambu A/S, initially as a Strategic Procurement Manager and currently as the Head of Direct Spend and Finished Goods in Corporate Procurement.

Throughout their career, Mikkel has demonstrated their ability to handle procurement responsibilities, manage suppliers, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product quality and compliance.

Mikkel Tønners attended Niels Brock from 2000 to 2005 and Holstebro Handelsskole from 1996 to 1999.
