John Bloom

John Bloom is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in journalism, television, and film. Currently serving as the Host and Executive Producer of "The Last Drive-In" series on Shudder.com since January 2018, John also operates as a journalist and author at Grove/Atlantic, Inc., where the acclaimed non-fiction book "Eccentric Orbits: The Iridium Story" was produced. With a rich history in print media, John has contributed to notable publications such as Newsweek, Rolling Stone, and The Village Voice from 1985 to 2015, while also gaining television prominence as a host and critic on networks including ABC and CNN. In the film industry, John has acted in significant works such as "Casino" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2." John held the position of New York Bureau Chief for United Press International, covering pivotal events including the 9/11 attacks, and served as a satirical reporter on "The Daily Show."
