Gerald Rebitzer

Gerald Rebitzer serves as the Senior Director of Sustainability and Public Affairs at Amcor, overseeing sustainability initiatives across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions since February 2010. Rebitzer previously held the role of Director of Sustainability for Amcor Flexibles, where responsibilities included developing and implementing the sustainability agenda for a multi-billion dollar business. In addition to current roles, Rebitzer is involved with multiple organizations as a board member, including EUROPEN, CEFLEX, the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative, and IGORA. Prior to Amcor, Rebitzer worked at Rio Tinto and Alcan in various leadership positions focused on product sustainability and stewardship. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Life Cycle Management from EPFL and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin.
