Ian Dewar has extensive work experience in the plastics industry, specializing in functional and color additive masterbatches. Ian has held various roles including Associate Director Global Key Accounts at Amcor, Consultant - Plastics Additives at Symphony Environmental, Strategic Business Manager - Flexibles - APAC at Ampacet Corporation, Business Development Manager at Anacail Limited, Key Account Manager at MULTIVAC UK, and Technical Sales Manager - Asia Pacific at Sukano. In these roles, they have been responsible for business management, sales, and developing novel technologies for food safety and packaging solutions.

Ian Dewar attended Edinburgh Napier University from 1992 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Chemistry.
