Sotiris Roussos

Sotiris Roussos is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and architecture, currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Amdocs since February 2020. Roussos has held various influential roles, including Chief Software Architect and Lead Software Architect, specializing in Big Data Analysis, Apache Spark, Cassandra, and Geospatial Data. Additionally, Roussos contributes as a Web Specialist for Living Democracy, an educational resource promoting democracy and human rights. In leadership capacities, Roussos has acted as Managing Director for urbanIT and Chief Technology Officer at Tatchit AB. With a background in consultancy and project management, Roussos has successfully led IT projects and teams, notably at the Municipality of Elefsina and during tenures at several technology firms. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Mobile & Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the National Technical University of Athens.
