Benjamin Porter

Benjamin Porter has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Benjamin is currently working as the Head of Engineering at Ameelio since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Red Hat as a Container Infrastructure Architect from October 2019 to September 2021. Before that, they served as a Sr. Software Engineer at both SimpleNexus from September 2018 to October 2019 and Canopy Tax, Inc. from August 2017 to September 2018. Benjamin also worked at Instructure, Inc. as a Sr. Software Engineer from August 2014 to August 2017. Additionally, they have experience as a Software Engineer at Raytheon Applied Signal Technology from January 2013 to August 2014 and L-3 Communications from December 2009 to January 2013. Earlier in their career, Benjamin worked as a Chaplain Assistant in the USAF/Air National Guard from October 2009 to January 2013 and in the United States Air Force as a Satellite, Wideband, Telemetry Systems specialist from September 2005 to October 2009.

Benjamin Porter has a diverse education history. Benjamin obtained a Master's Degree in Information Assurance and Cyber Security from Dakota State University between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Park University from 2010 to 2011. Benjamin also holds another Bachelor's Degree in Management/Marketing from Park University, which they earned from 2006 to 2010. In 2005, they acquired an Associate's Degree in Electronic Systems from the Community College of the Air Force.

In addition to their formal education, Benjamin Porter has obtained several certifications. Benjamin is a Triplebyte Certified DevOps Engineer, having received this certification from Triplebyte in August 2020. Benjamin also holds multiple certifications from Red Hat, including being a Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Application Development (obtained in February 2020), a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE, obtained in November 2019), a Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (obtained in December 2019), a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA, obtained in November 2019), and a Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation (obtained in November 2019). Furthermore, Benjamin is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, having obtained this certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2019.
