Chris Mitchell

Chris Mitchell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in training and operations within the aerospace and defense sectors. Currently serving as the Simulator Training Manager and formerly as Simulator Supervisor at Amentum since January 2022, Chris has previously held significant roles such as Instructor at AECOM, and Facilities Supervisor and GSE Safety Officer at SpaceX. During time at SpaceX, responsibilities included collaborating with the EH&S Department to implement safety management systems and overseeing a GSE Technician team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining critical equipment. Chris's foundational years in the US Navy culminated in the rank of Chief Petty Officer, showcasing expertise in diesel power generation and propulsion systems. Chris holds a degree in Workforce Development and Training from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
