Christopher Barr

Christopher Barr is an accomplished Engineering and Technical Director at Amentum since April 2022, overseeing Integrated Engineering and Safety Case Delivery for a significant Defence Nuclear New Build Programme. Previously, Barr served as Design and Infrastructure Programmes Director at Chemring Countermeasures, managing major programmes with Profit and Loss accountability. Barr’s experience includes roles as Project Director at RANGE AND VISION LTD, Senior Project Manager at Jacobs and AMEC, and Waterfront Support Manager at Babcock International Group, demonstrating a strong background in nuclear project management and engineering leadership. Barr began a career in the Royal Navy as a Lieutenant, specializing in Marine Engineering Submarines, and holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow.
