Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith has extensive experience in operations and project management within the nuclear decommissioning sector. Notably, at Wood, Matthew served as Operations Manager overseeing a decommissioning engineering services team, while at Jacobs, a progression to Operations Director for International and Emerging Markets involved managing diverse projects across Europe and Japan. Earlier roles included Decommissioning Director at Jacobs and Decommissioning Manager at AMEC, managing complex decommissioning, decontamination, and demolition projects. Matthew's foundational engineering experience began at NNC, followed by key positions at AMEC NNC, including site management and technical leadership. Matthew holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Manchester and an HND from Stockport College. Currently, Matthew is the Operations Director for Amentum, leading business growth initiatives in Japan.
