Simon Richards

Simon Richards is a Principal Physicist and MONK Design Authority at Amentum with over thirty years of experience in numerical modelling, nuclear criticality, reactor physics, and radiation transport. A Chartered Physicist and Fellow of the Institute of Physics, Simon has developed state-of-the-art Monte Carlo physics models and provided leadership in criticality safety analyses. Simon holds several postgraduate qualifications, including an MPhil in Plasma Physics and a PhD in Underwater Acoustics, obtained from prestigious institutions such as Imperial College London and the University of Southampton.
