Thomas Johnson is a highly accomplished professional with a strong academic background and diverse experience in both education and the nuclear industry. Holding a PhD in Robotics from The University of Manchester, Thomas has worked as a Physics Teacher at Bramhall High School and has held multiple research positions at The University of Manchester, including a role in the EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship Scheme focused on the characterisation of Beryllium in the nuclear fusion industry. Additionally, Thomas has experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in robotic swabbing of industrial facilities. In December 2023, Thomas began working as a Decommissioning Consultant at Jacobs and continues to serve in this capacity at Amentum from September 2024. Thomas holds a First Class Honours BSc in Theoretical Physics from the University of Birmingham, complemented by a PGDipEd in Science: Physics.
