Tom Ash

Tom Ash is an experienced professional in systems engineering, currently serving as the Head of Systems Engineering for UK Defence at Amentum since September 2024. Prior to this role, Ash held significant positions at Jacobs, including Head of Systems Engineering and Principal Consultant Systems Engineer, with a strong focus on the development of the UK MOD Land and Maritime Reference Frameworks. Ash's extensive background includes serving as a Programme Manager at DE&S Abbeywood, coordinating the Army's armoured vehicle fleet, and a distinguished military career with the British Army, ultimately achieving the rank of Major in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Sheffield and a Postgraduate Certificate in Systems Engineering for Defence Capability from Cranfield University.
