Gui Maia

Gui Maia PhD has extensive work experience in the field of data science and digital innovation. Gui is currently working as the Lead Data Scientist at Ameren since June 2023. Prior to that, they were the Principal Data Scientist at Jabil from 2022 to May 2023. Before joining Jabil, Gui worked at Ameren as the Manager Digital Innovation & Site Director Ameren Innovation Center UIUC Research Park from March 2020 to January 2022, and as a Senior Data Scientist from August 2018 to March 2020. Gui also worked at Anheuser-Busch InBev as the Data Science Lead for North America from July 2015 to August 2018. Earlier in their career, Gui served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2011 to 2015.

Gui Maia holds a PhD in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from the University of Kentucky, which they obtained between 2004 and 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Masters (M.S.) in Civil and Environmental Engineering at USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 2001 to 2003. Gui also has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2011 to 2015.
