Scott Welsh

Scott Welsh is a seasoned operations supervisor with extensive experience in nuclear power and training. Currently serving at Ameren since July 2021, Scott previously held the position of senior reactor operator at NextEra Energy Services from July 2017 to July 2021. Scott's career in the nuclear field began with a role as a senior reactor operator trainee at Florida Power & Light Company, followed by a tenure as a nuclear operations instructor at NextEra Energy Resources, where Scott developed training programs to enhance plant performance. Scott's foundational experience includes serving as a nuclear operations instructor at the US Navy's Nuclear Power Training Unit, where training was provided to over 400 nuclear field trainees. Scott also has a notable history as the leading engineering laboratory technician on multiple submarines, managing teams and processes critical to reactor operations. Scott is SRO certified and has undergone extensive training through the Naval Nuclear Power School.
