John Varney has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. John started their career at Silver Line Building Products as a Senior Programmer/Analyst, where they designed and implemented a custom scrap measurement and inventory production module. John also set up the company's first ACH transmission system and developed projects for barcode printing and scanning.

John then moved on to Lydia Monitoring as a Programmer/Analyst, providing end-user support and developing solutions to rebuild system indexes. At Plant Site Logistics, they worked as a Programmer/Analyst and created an Open Market Freight system in HTML, which interacted with PICK. John also ported this system for a larger customer.

John joined Integra LifeSciences as a Systems Application Analyst, where they updated and maintained the Universe (DataFlo) environment. John played a role in SOX audits, handled EDI processing, and reconciled inventory issues between DataFlo and the Accellos WMS system.

Currently, they are working at ACDI as a Senior Software Developer and UniVerse System Admin. Their responsibilities include updating and maintaining the Universe (ManFact) environment, providing end-user support, and implementing new functionality. John also built a UniVerse data replication server for disaster recovery purposes.

John Varney attended County College of Morris in 2006, where they studied C Programming and Unix Administration for a brief period of time. Following this, they enrolled at Maryville College in 1980 and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Computer Science in 1985.
