American Current is a utility electrical construction contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution for investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, and municipalities across the Southeast, with nationwide storm restoration response.

We were founded by utility and contractor veterans with 100+ combined years in distribution — leadership that has managed contract crews from the utility side of the table and built them from the contractor side. We know the standards, the specs, and the stakes, because we spent our careers upholding them.
