Stephen H. is a Digital Connections Fellow at Hook Arts Media, where Stephen participates in filmmaking workshops and is responsible for developing, producing, directing, and editing a short film. In addition, Stephen works as a Prescreener at American Documentary, Inc. screening non-fiction films for programming consideration. Stephen also has experience as a Producer at Portrait Magazine, where Stephen develops multimedia projects and provides photography coverage for events. Stephen holds a degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies and Sociology from Vassar College.

We collaborate with passionate filmmakers to amplify their voices, and to nurture the nonfiction community. AmDoc produces POV, the PBS showcase of nonfiction films and American television's longest-running documentary series and also produces America ReFramed, a year-round documentary series that highlights diverse stories from around the country.
