Scott Stone has a diverse career background in various industries. Scott started their professional journey as a Construction Engineer at Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. in 1990. Scott then worked as a Project Manager at RUST Environment & Infrastructure (now AECOM) from 1992 to 1997.

Moving forward, Stone joined MACTEC as Vice President and Managing Principal from 1997 to 2003. Scott then became the Senior Vice President and National Practice Manager at ARCADIS, where they led the Renewable Energy Practice and the Land Resources Practice. Scott'sresponsibilities included strategy execution, program management, and engineering services for renewable energy projects.

After their time at ARCADIS, Stone joined Merrick & Company as the Vice President and National Infrastructure Director in 2010. Scott later founded the North Carolina Heroes' Fund in 2007, a non-profit organization focused on supporting veterans and active-duty military personnel.

Additionally, Stone served as a representative for House District 105 in the North Carolina General Assembly from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they were a member of various committees and worked on key issues such as transportation, education, and homeland security.

Currently, Stone serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of American Engineering, a civil engineering firm known for its exceptional technical engineering and consulting services. Scott is responsible for client service, project management, construction management, and the overall growth and financial performance of the company.

Scott Stone earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University in 1990. Scott later pursued an MBA in Business & Finance from Marymount University, completing it in 1997. Prior to their higher education, they attended Shenendehowa High School from 1982 to 1986. Additionally, they hold multiple certifications as a Professional Engineer from various institutions and states.
