John Oster

John Oster is currently the Director & Counsel in the Global Litigation & Investigations group at American Express, where they oversee various legal matters. Prior to this role, John served as an Assistant General Counsel at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, managing significant enforcement actions and litigation. They began their legal career as an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where John defended Microsoft Corporation in an extensive antitrust trial. John also gained valuable experience as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Eric N. Vitaliano at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and represented clients in complex commercial litigation at Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP. John holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University School of Law.
