Peter Markall

Peter Markall is a Staff Cybersecurity Specialist in payment security and cryptography with over 15 years of experience in developing and deploying information security solutions. Peter has worked at Thales e-Security from 2005 to 2012, where they held roles from Student Engineer to Security Engineer, focusing on high-grade cryptographic products. Since 2012, Peter has led the Payment Crypto Architecture organization at American Express, defining the global vision and strategy for payment cryptography. They are known for their contributions to the financial industry, including active participation in various industry working groups and a commitment to mentoring and promoting security best practices. Peter holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computing Sciences from the University of Surrey.
