John Steckel is the President & CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Steckel has extensive experience in strategy development, financial management, business development, program management, and leadership across defense and federal markets. Their leadership roles include Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Corporate Development at AMERICAN SYSTEMS (2018–2022), Senior Vice President of Business Development at Vencore Inc. (2016–2018), and earlier VP/BD roles at Raytheon and BAE Systems. Steckel earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School (1990–1992), and a BS in History from the United States Naval Academy (1980–1984).
