Myra Cunningham has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. Myra started their career in 2002 as the Director of Agency Relations at Harvest Hope Food Bank. In 2005, they became the State Director for Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG), a position they held until 2007. That same year, Myra joined the Corporation for National and Community Service as a Program Officer. In March 2020, they were promoted to the role of Senior Portfolio Manager. Additionally, they joined AmeriCorps in 2020 as the Southeast Region Senior Portfolio Manager. Myra has a diverse background in program management and has demonstrated their commitment to serving communities through their work.
Myra Cunningham completed their education in a chronological order. Myra started their education by attending C. A. Johnson High School from 1983 to 1987, where they followed a college preparatory curriculum. After completing high school, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina-Columbia between 1987 and 1991. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Georgia State University from 1999 to 2002. Alongside their formal education, Myra acquired a Salesman certification from the South Carolina Real Estate Commission in August 2010.
