James Newcomer

James (Jim) Newcomer, BA, CPP, is an experienced procurement and category management professional currently serving as the Dual role- AmeriGas Manager of Category Management and UGI Global Category Manager of Fleet since November 2022. Previous roles include Sr. Category Manager at Schindler Elevator Corporation (March 2022 - November 2022), Director of Vendor Contract Oversight at Capital BlueCross (February 2019 - October 2021), and Senior Director of Indirect Procurement at Rite Aid (April 2012 - February 2019). Additionally, James held the position of Director of Procurement and Logistics at Taylor-Wharton (August 2008 - May 2012) and Purchasing Manager at Volvo Trucks North America (August 2002 - August 2008). Early career experience includes serving as a Purchasing Agent at Ingersoll Rand (November 1991 - August 2002). James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the American Public University System and a Professional Certificate in Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions and Contracts Management from EIPM - The European Institute of Purchasing Management.
