Dr. Monique May

Dr. Monique May, MD, MHA has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Dr. Monique is currently serving as a Medical Director at AmeriHealth Caritas since May 2023. In addition, they are the CEO and Founder of MDM Enterprises LLC, where they hold multiple roles including Chief Deliciousness Creator and Chief Creator of Plant-based Deliciousness since July 2019. Dr. May also founded their own consulting company, May Medical Consulting, PLLC in April 2020. Dr. Monique has worked as an Expert Witness at MDexperts, a service of MDstaffers since January 2019. Previously, they served as a Medical Director at UnitedHealth Group from January 2021 to April 2023. Dr. Monique also worked as a Physician Clinical Reviewer at Magellan Health from January 2019 to December 2020. Earlier in their career, Dr. May held various positions at Concentra, including Center Medical Director and Physician. Dr. Monique worked as a Telemedicine Consultant at AmeriDoc, LLC and Americare Services, Inc. from 2009 to 2014. Lastly, they worked as a Family Practice Physician at Novant Health from August 2012 to May 2013.

Dr. Monique May, MD, MHA attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Dr. Monique then went on to the Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine from 1992 to 1996, earning their MD. Dr. May completed their Family Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center from 1996 to 1999. Later, they pursued a Master's in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health from 2015 to 2017.
