Jim Kipp

Jim Kipp is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in Linux engineering and systems administration. Currently serving as a Senior Linux Engineer at AmeriHealth Caritas since December 2017, Jim Kipp specializes in RedHat Linux, supporting and engineering over 1000 Linux servers primarily on the VMware platform and leading configuration automation using Ansible, Perl, and Shell programming. Prior to this role, Jim Kipp worked at Capital One from 2004 to December 2017, first as a Core Banking Systems Admin, focusing on production support for the Profile Core Banking system, and later as a UNIX Senior Lead Admin. Earlier in Jim Kipp's career, a contractor role at Neptuna INC involved UNIX systems administration, along with Windows and networking support. Jim Kipp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Biology from Mount St. Mary's University, which was completed between 1984 and 1988.
