Daniel Mayer, Esq. has extensive experience in the insurance industry, specializing in claims management and litigation. Daniel has held various leadership positions at AmeriTrust Group, Inc. and Nationwide Insurance. At AmeriTrust Group, Inc., they served as the Chief Claims Counsel and Vice President of Claims, providing strategic counsel and legal advice to executive business leaders and managing multiple high-exposure teams. Daniel also led four teams as Vice President of Claims, overseeing special projects, vendor management, and training. At Nationwide Insurance, they were the Director of Commercial Claims, Large Loss, where they built and managed a startup department to handle large loss commercial casualty claims. Earlier in their career, they worked at AmeriTrust Group, Inc. as the Vice President of Complex Claims & Coverage and Vice President of Litigation, leading teams responsible for adjusting complex casualty claims and litigated claims. Daniel also served as an Assistant Vice President, leading a team of Claims Attorneys, and as a Claims Attorney, managing litigated claims and negotiating mediations. Before joining AmeriTrust Group, Inc., they worked at Meagher & Geer, P.L.L.P. as an Associate Attorney, providing coverage advice to insurers and representing them in declaratory judgment actions and bad faith claims. Daniel also worked at Hinshaw & Culbertson as an Associate Attorney, specializing in insurance defense. Daniel began their career at Progressive Insurance as a Direct Sales Associate, excelling in property and casualty insurance sales. Daniel Mayer, Esq. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Arizona State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. Following this, they attended the University of St. Thomas from 1997 to 1998, focusing on Philosophy. Later, Daniel obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Notre Dame Law School, which they attended from 2002 to 2005.
