Alan Spalten

Alan Spalten is the current VP of Finance & Controller at AmeriVet. Prior to AmeriVet, Alan was the Director of Asset Management / Controller at GrayStreet Partners from April 2014 to March 2019. In this role, they were responsible for performing financial valuations and due diligence for potential acquisitions, dispositions, and re-capitalizations. Alan also supervised all accounting/finance and property management teams, in addition to examining the financial performance of current holdings and the status of planned improvements. Lastly, they managed investor partnerships and lender relations.

Before GrayStreet Partners, Alan worked as a Financial Analyst at Neiman Marcus from January 2012 to December 2013. In this role, they built and updated forecast models in order to budget profit and loss statements for Neiman Marcus Direct’s 6 subsidiary brands by using interconnected financial models predominately in Microsoft Excel. Alan also examined revenues and cost structures, including components of SG&A and B&O, to locate improvement in earnings potential to maximize profits. Alan provided daily analysis on key components of the business directly to the President, CEO, and other executives.

Alan Spalten attended Southern Methodist University, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and a Master of Business Administration in business administration and management.

Alan Spalten reports to Joseph Shikorsky, Chief Financial Officer. They are on a team with and Joy Jones - Accounting Manager.
