John Schmitz

John Schmitz is an experienced construction project manager with a strong background in various roles within the industry. Currently serving as a Project Manager and previously as a Project Engineer at Ames Construction since May 2012, John has expertise in managing multiple design-build construction projects. Prior experience includes positions at Braun Intertec Corporation as a Critical Activity Point Manager and Field Services Technician, focusing on material acceptance, testing, and inspections. John also gained valuable experience during a co-op role at Braun Intertec Corporation, contributing to the TH 610 Design Build project, and as an intern at Northland Mechanical Contractors, where efforts led to securing a significant project. Educationally, John holds a BAS in Construction Management from the University of Minnesota, earned in 2010.
