Mark Shafer

Mark Shafer is an experienced professional in the civil engineering and construction industry, currently serving as Alternate Delivery Manager at Ames Construction since November 2022. Prior to this role, Mark held various positions, including Senior Project Manager at HDR from November 2013 to November 2022 and Division Leader Assistant Vice President at TranSystems from March 2001 to November 2013. Mark began a career in engineering as Bridge Team Leader at The Schemmer Associates from 1991 to 2001. Mark holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Structural Engineering from Iowa State University, obtained between 1983 and 1991.
