Paul Mayo

Paul Mayo is an experienced construction professional with a diverse background in engineering and project management, currently serving as the West Office Engineering and Pre-Construction Manager at Ames Construction since May 2023. Prior to this role, Paul was the Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Construction at Brightline West Trains, overseeing high-speed rail projects between Los Angeles and Las Vegas from September 2020 to February 2023. Paul has held various key positions at Flatiron West, Inc., where noteworthy projects included the $705M I-405 Bellevue to Renton ETL and significant contributions to the I-405 and SR-520 projects. Earlier career experiences include leadership roles at Guy F. Atkinson Construction, Flatiron Construction, CH2M, HDR, and Sverdrup Civil, Inc., with a strong focus on design-build transportation projects and environmental engineering. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from UC Irvine, earned in 1989.
