Chris Frederick

Chris Frederick is an accomplished event management professional with extensive experience in leading high-impact initiatives for LGBTQ advocacy and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Special Events at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research since May 2022, Chris previously held the position of Managing Director, Global Events at Out Leadership, where a significant achievement included launching the Proudly Resilient summit, attracting over 8,000 LGBTQ professionals. As Executive Director of NYC Pride from 2009 to 2019, Chris oversaw the historic WorldPride 2019 and achieved record corporate sponsorship figures, while also managing a $12 million budget and developing a successful revenue growth strategy. Chris's earlier roles at Out Magazine and Sharp Communications laid the foundation for a robust career in event promotion and marketing, backed by a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Ohio University.
